Thank goodness, it appears that spring has finally sprung! With this, all of those “outdoor aquatics facilities” should start preparation for a summer of fun. A few helpful hints to add to your “to do” check lists.

  • Verify Pool finishes are prepared for another season of wear and tear. If questionable, seek advice from a professional.
  • Once you are confident freezing temps have passed, dewater your pool and verify all pool piping is flushed and clean of all debris and foreign material.
  • Pumps: Make sure all pumps are greased and lubricated per manufactures recommendations. Bump your pumps for a second or two to make sure they are not locked or seized.
  • Chemicals:  Order your chemicals early, the seasonal rush often times keeps your suppliers low are large quantities.
  • Chemical Controllers: Verify that your chemical probes are clean and prepared for the season to come. I always recommend purchasing extra probes in the event of a failure to avoid downtime.
  • Chemical Tubing: We always recommend replacing chemical tubing at the beginning of each season. Poly tubing is inexpensive and it’s always wise to be cautious.

“I would like to recommend Capri Pools and Aquatics efforts and professionalism in the design and construction of the City of Frankfort swimming pool. It was completed on schedule and within budget.

Cary Dennis worked patiently with the City and educated council, staff and citizens about modern swimming pools and equipment to meet the needs of today’s pool users. Cary spoke with experience and intelligence but always listened and encouraged other ideas from citizens.

“On the Champaign County YMCA project, state approval came through nearly 8 weeks late. Capri Pools rolled up their sleeves and scheduled overlapping solutions to complete the project on time.

We faced ground water issues that altered design and could have drastically delayed the schedule. Capri gave us foundation & drain system options to maintain the budget and keep the schedule on track.

Often companies say they work to keep issues from happening. We like to hear subcontractors who acknowledge that there will be issues but they will work with our team to solve the issues. Based on our experience at the Champaign County YMCA and Larkin’s Place, we recommend Capri Pools.”

Today Capri Pools & Aquatics is announcing the launch of our new Web Site, please take a moment to review our new look and updated information. We have worked very hard to provide poignant and project specific information with an easy to navigate tool bar.  We have also added social media links which will be continually updated with Capri project updates and new product information.

Along with our new web site, Capri will be providing a new free service called the “Capri Weekly Reminder”.
